Nothing formal is required in advance, but the call is most useful if you can speak to:

- Your investment philosophy — time horizon, what 'quality' means to you, your risk tolerance.
- How you currently track a thesis — spreadsheet, memory, a shared doc, nothing formal at all.
- What success would look like for a first engagement.
Lantern deliberately does not ask for your full portfolio, book size, or position sizing on this call — that's your Decision Making job, not Lantern's.
What happens after the call?

Is this a sales call or a real conversation about my decision?
It's built to be the latter. Discovery interrogates your last real decision and your process, not whether you 'like' Lantern.
Do I need to sign anything before the call?
No. The call itself is free and non-binding. Pricing is published on the Services page, so there's nothing to negotiate — you choose a tier when you're ready.
Is there a reason to book now instead of next quarter?
Honestly: for the single report and ongoing coverage, no — those are available whenever you want them. The one genuine constraint is the Annual Partnership, which includes founder review sessions and is limited to a small number of clients per quarter. Separately, the compounding-memory advantage is time-based: a quarter you don't start is a quarter of decision history you don't own. Most people arrive with a live decision whose own timeline is the real urgency — Lantern doesn't manufacture more than that.
